7月の思い出: さよならクラシックジャンボ！
Good-bye 747 classic!

 「クラシックジャンボ」という飛行機をご存知ですか？
ジャルウェイズでは主にホノルル線で長年活躍していましたが、
ついに今月３０日、ホノルル発成田着の７３便をもって国際線を退役することになりました。

クラシックジャンボ（在来機）とは、４００席超の座席数を誇るジャンボ機の一つ。
大型機、大量輸送の魁を担ったボーイング７４７－３００の愛称です。
機長、副操縦士に加えて航空機関士が乗務する「３マンクルー機」とも呼ばれていました。

現在主流のハイテク機材と異なり、操縦室から客室までアナログ仕様。
その為一つ一つに手をかけて作業をしなければなりませんでしたが、その分愛着もたっぷり、

思い入れもとても深いものです。

中でも私の一番の思い出は、大型スクリーンでの映画の上映です。
今や個人用テレビが主流ですが、それはまるで星空の中の空飛ぶ映画館のよう！
お客様みなさんで「わくわく」「どきどき」を共有した時間が旅の思い出の１ページになるといいなぁと、

私自身いつも楽しみにしておりました。

ジャルウェイズは、そんなクラシックジャンボと共にこれまでを歩んできました。
７月３０日には、そんな私たちから「お疲れ様でした！」の気持ちを込めて
ご搭乗頂いた皆さんのすてきな記念になるような楽しい企画をご用意しております。

The last version of the Classic model Jumbo Jet will be retired from International service on flight JO73, July 30.　It is the -300 Series of Boeing 747,　which has been played an important role for Jalways for a long time, especially on the route to Honolulu.

Different form high-tech digital aircraft, its system is analogue.　The main feature is a three-man cockpit.　Therefore we cabin and cockpit crew have to take time to handle it but we have strong attachment to it all the more.

I also have a good memory about this aircraft, which is in-flight movie. Another aircrafts are equipped individual screen, but in this aircraft we broadcast a movie on the big screen. It is like a movie theater in a starry sky!
Hoping that it will be a good memory to share a same pleasant experience with the other travelers, I was always looking forward to the time we broadcast it.

For its last flight, some special entertainments are planned. We are looking forward to serving you on board!

Forever 747 classic!
