6月の思い出: アジアの街顔のお土産に見える笑顔

ジャルウェイズは1990年にチャーター専門の航空会社として設立され、10年後に定期便の航空会社として現在の運航の原型が整いました。それから10年、現在就航する国は7ヶ国12空港に及びます。その半数はアジアの国々。

お土産屋さんの店先を覗くのもちょっとした気分転換となります。

同じアジアでも少しずつ違う手作りのお土産に気づく頃、ふと自分が旅なれたことに気づきうれしくなることもあります。

私のお気に入りはデンパサール。バリ島に根づく絵画、彫刻の技術は国際的にも大変高く評価されており、日本を始め多くの国に輸出されています。いつも覗くお気に入りのお土産さんの店先、「いつか手にとって見よう。よければ買って見ようかな」　と思っていた品物がふとなくなっていることに気づくことも。きっとどこかのご家庭で大切にされているのだろうと思いを馳せます。日本のお土産屋さんに並ぶ漫画のキャラクターグッズの品物もいいけれど、手作りの雰囲気があるちょっと素朴な手作りのお土産。私の旅の癒しの一品です。

また来月お目にかかります。
 

JALways was established as a charter flight company and started to have scheduled flight ten years later, when our current operation style had begun.

Currently we fly to twelve destinations of seven countries.  Half of the destinations are Asian countries.  When I fly there, I always drop on local souvenir shops for a little change.  Though every shops in Asian countries look alike, but I came to find that there are slight difference in each countries products.  When I found that I noticed such a thing, I felt happy that I finally became a full-swing CA after long flight experience.

One of my favorite destination is Denpasar  where there are many paintings and wood carvings with world-wide reputation on high level artistic creation.  Many products are exported to many countries including Japan.  I sometime find that my favorite goods which I was thinking to pick up and to buy was already sold out.  I also like Japanese souvenirs with cartoon characters but I also like hand made simple products, which always makes me feel relaxed.
